Founded in 2019 by Julie and Oliver Chrzan, The Intricate Knot Foundation aims to improve our understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and the millions of people touched by it. Autism Spectrum Disorder is estimated to effect 1 in 59 children, and although it effects millions of people it's causes are not well understood. ASD is a complex neurological disorder that likely has multiple different subtypes and many different causes.
The Intricate Knot Foundation hopes to one day better understand the causes of ASD and other neurological disorders and find treatments for those who need it. In addition, The Intricate Knot Foundation looks to support people with ASD and help them have a happy and fulfilling life in a world where most people are very different than them.
Autism is a complex neurological disorder with mostly unknown causes. The "Intricate Knot" represents the challenge we face of unraveling the causes of autism.

Prior to co-founding The Intricate Knot Foundation, Oliver worked as the Chief Technical Officer (CTO) of CarGurus. After 11 years of working as an engineer/excutive at CarGurus, Oliver decided to shift directions and focus on helping with ASD.
